You can see the Basilica of the Annunciation, built on the grounds where Gabriel announced to the Virgin Mary the news of Jesus' impending birth, as well as continuing your excursion onto Canaan, the site of the renowned Canaan wedding where, in the Bible, Jesus turned water into wine. You can also head to the banks of the River Jordan, and see where Jesus was baptized, which the chance to enter the water yourself on the same spot where Jesus went through his own baptism.
Some cruise lines offer the opportunity to enjoy an excursion to Jerusalem, the capital of Israel and a centre of spiritualism and history. See ancient temple ruins, and walk along Via Dolorosa, the path that Jesus walked as he was taken to his death and considered by Christians to be the holiest road in the world.
